April 20. Annual Fancy Hat Tea at Covert Hall in North Head, 2-4 pm. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Willa Cathers "O Pioneers". Willa was a regular summer resident of Grand Manan, having a cottage built in Whale Cove. She was a Pulitzer Prize winner.
April 20-21. Earth Day work weekend at Swallowtail. (Postponed until bridge repairs are completed)
July 6. Lobster roll dinner and music (Fund-raiser). Grand Manan Curling Club. 6-9 pm. Music by Before the Mast. Reservations recommended.
July 7. Flag raising at Swallowtail to commemorate the 153th Anniversary. 2 pm weather dependent.
August Musical - Fund-raiser - to be announced, Covert Hall.
August 16, 17, 18. International Lighthouse/Lightship weekend. Amateur radio operators set up at lighthouses and light ships around the world and attempt to communicate with each other via Ham Radio. Come join Sterling, Rick and Art at Swallowtail.
